The Canadian National Wushu / Kung-Fu and Taiji Championships is the national wushu competition for Canadian athletes.  After two-years of cancellation due to the pandemic, the event was brought back in 2022 and held for the first time in the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario.

A total of 500+ participants and athletes from 16 different top Canadian teams and provincial organizations attended the event, including Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec.

This year’s event selected Team Canada that will compete in the 2022 World Junior Wushu Championships in Indonesia, and also selected the Senior Division that will compete in the 2023 World Wushu Championships in the United States.
