The World Wushu Championships (WWC) are held every two years and are organized by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) for competitors over the age of 18. The 16th World Wushu Championships was the first competition held following the break brought about due to the pandemic.


2023 - 16th World Wushu Championships (世界武术锦标赛)

Dates: November 16 to 20, 2023

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States

Key achievements:

  • 2 athletes from Wayland Li Wushu selected to the Canadian National Wushu Team in taolu competition

  • Erica Li achieved 11th place for Qiangshu, 14th place for Jianshu, and 26th place for Changquan

  • Rex Lam achieved 16th place for Gunshu, 21th place for Changquan, and 30th place for Daoshu
