On May 3, 2026, the athletes and parents of Wayland Li Wushu held a dinner in Markham, Ontario to honour Master Wenqi Li and his tireless dedication to coaching and bringing Team Canada to new heights of competiive achievements. To celebrate Canada’s 4th place at the 2026 World Junior Wushu Championships, ahtletes and families toasted Shifu Li, and celebrated with a buffet dinner and cake.
Thank you Shifu Li for all of your hard work over the years to train the team, and put countless hours, days and weeks into preparing our athletes for the world stage. You are a special coach and our students are very lucky to train under you.
