On April 25, 2026, City of Markham Deputy Mayor Michael Chan and Ward 8 Councillor Isa Lee honoured Wayland Li athletes that competed in the 2026 World Junior Wushu Championships.
Deputy Mayor Chan and Councillor Lee made remarks about the success of the Markham-based athletes, and praised their achievements on the world stage. The Deputy Mayor and Councillor then presented each Wayland Li athlete with a certification of outstanding achievement.
