November 2022 Wushu Demonstration by the Wayland Li Competition Team
On November 4th, 2022, members of the Wayland Li competition team performed a wushu demonstration in Markham, Ontario.
The demo featured:

2022 Toronto Dragon Festival
From September 2-4, 2022, the demonstration team from Wayland Li Wushu performed in the Toronto Dragon Festival. The event was hosted by the Canadian Association of Chinese Performing Arts, and held at Nathan Phillips Square in downtown Toronto.
The team from Wayland Li performed an exciting Wushu demonstration, as well as several instances of the Lion Dance.

My Mulan Dance Drama Performance 2022
Our demonstration team was kindly invited to join the 2022 My Mulan show and our athletes were prominently featured in the show. We joined both performances on March 18th and 20th, There were many rehearsals and planning out choreography. But all of it definitely worth it, especially for our newer athletes where this was their first demo.
Well done team! And of course thank you to everyone at Lin Dance Academy!
Mississauga Night Wushu Demo
Wayland Li Wushu performed a demo for the Mississauga Night 2022《安捷之夜 - 2022密西沙加新春晚会》which was hosted by the Mississauga Chinese Arts Organization (MCAO) 密市华人艺术团 and co-produced by the Canada Performing Artists Network 加拿大演艺联盟(CPAN).
This was our first in-person demo since the pandemic and our students performed wonderfully! Thank you to all the students and parents for their hard work.

Wushu in Canada Documentary
On October 2, 2021, we decided to shoot a short documentary on Wushu. We reused a lot of the routines we practiced for the Shang-Chi movie release demo, and decided to head down to Scarborough Bluffs Park. Nothing like doing cool Wushu with friends down by the lake!

Shang-Chi Movie Premiere Wushu Demonstration
Back in 2021, we were contracted to perform at the Canadian premiere of the Marvel hit “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” We were EXTREMELY excited by this - the movie prominently featured Wushu and we love all the actors in the movie (especially hometown boy Simu Liu!).
We planned a very choreographed wushu demo and practiced, practiced, practiced. And then we practiced some more…
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and the Delta variant, the movie studio cancelled all promotional events for Canada and we lost the opportunity to perform.
But the show must go on…
It was a great experience for all of our athlete performers and parents.

YTV Lunar New Year Demonstration 2020 by Wayland Li Team
On January 21, 2020, the demonstration team of Wayland Li Wushu performed on YTV’s Zone Weekend program for Lunar New Year.

Wayland Li performance in the dance drama My Mulan
On December 22 and 23, 2019, Walyand Li students performed in the theater production of My Mulan. Congrats to all students for a wonderful performance!
The event was held at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto.

2019 Christmas Holiday Party
Happy Holidays to all Wayland Li students and families!
